Welcome to our
a medical student at King's College London
& founder of Student Essentials
We are very passionate about helping students move in to their accommodation and have a very smooth transition. We have gathered some of the best deals for you.
How I started Student Essentials from my bedroom
Don’t get too excited it doesn’t involve machine learning or artificial intelligence. It is a super simple business, yet it offers great convenience to our customers. We deliver all the essentials (like duvets, pillows, towels, kitchen items) to students when they arrive at their accommodation. It saves them time and money.
Why you must have a side hustle as a student
A side-hustle can be a part-time job (working at a pub, for the university, or being an A-level tutor), volunteering for an oganisation or even starting your own Business, alongside your studies.
Watching Netflix and going out every night is for sure fun and it’s a good way of making friends. But if you do that every day for the duration of your degree, it won’t take you far.
It doesn’t necessarily have to be a complete side-business, or even make that much money. A side hustle is all about your personal growth, development, and entrepreneurial creativity. Here are 2 ways a side hustle can be a really good idea.
Stocking up on kitchen packs worth £9,250
The annual fees for EU and UK students in the UK is £9,250 and In 2020 I invested the same amount as my annual tuition fees of medicine in Kitchen Packs. That’s right, pots, plates, bowls, cutlery and mugs. Hundred items of each category, to be precise over 5,000 individual items.
So why would a medical student (who is supposed to be focusing purely in medicine) spent that extraordinary amount (equivalent to 9,000 mayo & chicken burgers from McDonalds) on Kitchen packs?
When I went to visit my suppliers
Probably the coolest 2-day trip was when I finally got the chance to meet up with my suppliers. It was 2 things that made me really excited.
