Delicious Chocolate Cake Recipes: No-Oven Treats for Chocolate Lovers

  • Jan 28

Chocolate was not always eaten as we are used to it today. Due to the first Spanish colonisation in South America, cocoa beans spread across Europe where richer people would consumed as liquid. In 1847 J.S. Fry & Sox invented what is known as the first chocolate bar.

But what about chocolate cake?

In the same year, 1847, the first recipe for chocolate cake was invented by Eliza Leslie’s. This recipe did not include cocoa powder but it had chopped pieces of chocolate inserted into a plain sponge.

In this blog you will find one recipe with dark chocolate, one with milk chocolate and another one with white chocolate.

But the best part of all is that all three recipes do not required an oven!

Be sure to get all your baking utensils ready to make these delish treats.
